Lubbock-based pump manufacturer SIMFLO recently unveiled its state-of-the-art engineering facility, boasting the most expansive vertical turbine pump testing facility in North America. This investment underscores SIMFLO's commitment to innovation and quality in the industrial and agricultural pump market.
Founded in 1951, SIMFLO has a long history of providing vertical turbine pumps for various applications, including municipal water systems, irrigation, and industrial processes. Their pumps are renowned for their ability to efficiently move large volumes of water.
The new 30,000-square-foot facility features wells reaching up to 80 feet deep, specifically designed to test pumps at their maximum capacity. This allows SIMFLO to meticulously validate pump performance under real-world conditions before they are delivered to clients.
"We can now test pumps under the exact conditions they'll be operating in," said Troy Pickering, SIMFLO's executive vice president. "This transparency allows engineers, contractors, and city officials to witness the pump's capabilities firsthand."
Pickering emphasizes the critical role water infrastructure plays and the importance of robust testing to ensure its longevity. "The new facility enables us to demonstrate our pumps' performance under their designated operating conditions, providing clients with peace of mind."
Beyond the industry-leading testing facility, the building offers dedicated office space and collaborative areas for SIMFLO's engineering team.
The grand opening ceremony included remarks from U.S. Rep. Jodey Arrington, who commended SIMFLO's achievement. "This investment in cutting-edge technology exemplifies West Texas innovation," he said. "By developing advanced pump technology, irrigation systems, and water infrastructure solutions, SIMFLO is contributing significantly to the nation's progress."
SIMFLO's dedication to quality and innovation with this new facility positions them as a frontrunner in the vertical turbine pump market, offering their clients unparalleled testing capabilities and superior pump solutions.
