NX Filtration achieves ACS certification for Hollow Fiber Nanofiltration Membranes

December 2024

NX Filtration, a leading innovator in membrane filtration technology, is proud to announce that its hollow fiber nanofiltration (HFNF) membranes have now also received the prestigious Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire (ACS) certification. This follows the earlier certification of our ultrafiltration (UF) solutions. The ACS certification confirms that NX Filtration’s technology complies with French regulations for materials in contact with drinking water, ensuring the safe and reliable use of its membranes in water treatment processes throughout France.

The ACS certification confirms that NX Filtration’s HFNF membranes meet the safety standards for potable water applications. This recognition complies with French regulatory requirements and highlights our commitment to sustainable, high-quality drinking water solutions. Our membranes effectively remove suspended solids, pathogens, viruses, bacteria, organic matter, color, plastics, and micropollutants, including Chlorothalonil metabolites and ESA Metolachlor, while minimizing energy consumption and eliminating the need for chemical dosing.

Michiel Staatsen, COO of NX Filtration, said:

“Achieving ACS certification is an important milestone for NX Filtration, particularly for our operations in France. This certification demonstrates that our membrane technology meets the stringent health and safety standards required in France for drinking water treatment. It also complements the international accreditations we have already achieved, such as NSF and KIWA, further underscoring the global reliability and quality of our solutions. We are proud to offer a solution that addresses both the local regulatory needs and the global demand for sustainable water treatment.”

With the ACS certification, NX Filtration strengthens its position in the French market, ensuring that its technology meets the highest standards for potable water production and reinforcing its commitment to addressing water quality challenges in France and beyond.

About ACS (Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire)
The Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire (ACS) is a certification issued by the French Ministry of Health to ensure that materials and products used in contact with drinking water comply with health and safety standards. This certification is mandatory for all materials and equipment, including membranes, pipes, and valves, used in water treatment and distribution in France. The ACS certification guarantees that products do not release harmful substances into the water, thus safeguarding public health. It is a crucial regulatory requirement for the French market, affirming that a product is safe for use in potable water applications.
