CT2MC, an independent engineering company founded by Olivier Le Meaux in 2012, specializes in the development of innovative robotic products. The company's mission is the development and manufacturing of industrial products that integrate robotics, innovation, composite materials, and automation. CT2MC is committed to reducing its environmental impact by advancing manufacturing techniques and developing processes and products that are more environmentally friendly. This commitment includes the use of bio-sourced materials and the decision to base production in France to minimize resource consumption and environmental impact.
CT2MC manufactures robots for pipe inspections, particularly in sewerage water applications, and develops, prototypes, and manufactures robots incorporating composite materials. The company also produces several ranges of aquatic drones designed for environmental monitoring and analysis, available for sale or rent. The SPYBOAT® range consists of aerial propulsion drones, the INN’EAU range includes drones with water-based propulsion, floats, and other features, and the CAN’EAU range is specifically developed for inspections of confined spaces such as pipes and tanks.
Additionally, CT2MC offers inspection services for surface water and confined spaces using its diverse range of products. The company’s capabilities in innovation and research and development have been recognized with several awards from ADEME (French Ecological Transition Agency). Recently, CT2MC's aquatic drone deployment project received an award in the "Companies committed to the ecological transition" category.
At the recent IFAT Exhibition in Munich, CT2MC showcased the CAN’EAU® “Rotating Sonar.” This high-tech device collects crucial data parameters, including inspection of works (ITV). Equipped with a 360° camera and several lamps, it can continuously record video of a pipe from every angle, allowing operators to orient themselves as if they were inside the pipe during post-processing.
The CAN’EAU® is equipped with UWB (Ultra WideBand) positioning beacons, enabling operators to locate and monitor specific locations within the system accurately. This versatile and flexible device provides a precise profile of sedimentation throughout the entire pipeline structure. Additionally, the CAN’EAU® monitors gas levels, accurately detecting the presence of H2S, CO, O2, and CH4.
The embedded lidar technology allows for the creation of sectional views of horizontal and vertical pipes, enabling 2D sections and subsequent 3D reconstruction (without texture). Using photogrammetry, CT2MC's products can model any type of work in 3D, which can be displayed in GIS. The system also provides an overview of pipeline trajectory, with onboard technologies generating georeferenced XYZ files. Furthermore, CT2MC offers four aerial turbines for automatic positioning in driving and visual piloting.
