SIMFLO Introduces Industry-Changing Remote Witness Testing Technology at New Facility

December 2024

Lubbock-based SIMFLO, a leading provider of pumps for industrial, municipal, commercial, and agricultural applications, has unveiled a revolutionary addition to its new Engineered Products Facility. This facility features one of the largest and most advanced vertical turbine test setups in North America, equipped with cutting-edge technology developed by fellow Lubbock company, SitePro, Inc.

The state-of-the-art facility includes 80-foot-deep wells and a comprehensive on-site witness testing experience, offering real-time test lab analysis and digital read-outs. In a groundbreaking innovation, SIMFLO now provides a remote witness testing option, enabling customers and engineering firms worldwide to monitor and verify pump performance from any location. This feature, powered by SitePro’s patented automation software, significantly reduces the time, expense, and resources associated with traditional testing.

"By joining forces with SitePro, we're reshaping remote testing in the pump industry with cutting-edge innovations that boost efficiency and support worldwide water infrastructure advancements. We're thrilled to offer this pioneering technology to our clients,” said Jay Tando, Chief Operating Officer at SIMFLO.

The facility’s advanced testing capabilities utilize SitePro’s proprietary technology to monitor and control variable frequency drives (VFDs) and actuator valves, ensuring optimal fluid management. Customers can remotely access live data dashboards and video feeds to witness key metrics such as flow, pressure, speed, power factor, torque, and other motor characteristics. This ensures pumps are tested and manufactured with the precise specifications required for their intended applications.

"Our partnership with SitePro and incorporating this technology at our new Engineered Products Facility is truly revolutionizing the way remote testing is conducted in the pump industry,” said Troy Pickering, CEO of SIMFLO. “We are not only offering an innovative solution that saves time and resources for our customers but also paving the way for enriched water infrastructure upgrades nationwide and across the globe. We are thrilled to collaborate with SitePro in providing this groundbreaking technology for our current and future customers.”

With this innovation, SIMFLO is positioned to support the growing demand for water infrastructure upgrades in the United States, an industry projected to require multi-billion-dollar investments in the coming years.

“We are honored to partner with SIMFLO to implement this industry-changing technology,” said David Bateman, CEO of SitePro, Inc. “At SitePro, our technology and services enable responsible management of fluid-centric critical infrastructure, helping ensure pumps and other equipment have more uptime and reliability. This partnership exemplifies the core of our mission, and we're proud to have an impact on pumps that will be commissioned all over the globe.”

Through this collaboration, SIMFLO and SitePro are driving a new era of efficiency and innovation in the pump industry while addressing critical global water infrastructure challenges.
