Swedish industrial group Vestum AB has completed the acquisition of all shares in PDAS Holdings Ltd through its subsidiary, Pump Supplies Ltd. Established in 2014, PDAS specializes in proactive maintenance and intelligent monitoring of wastewater pumping stations.
The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of adoptable pumping stations, packaged pumping stations, and storm attenuation systems for residential and commercial developments across the UK. A key component of its service offering is the provision of intelligent monitoring systems, utilizing remote telemetry and cloud-based technology to enable real-time monitoring of pumping stations. This technology allows pump specialists to streamline maintenance processes effectively.
PDAS, headquartered in Surrey and employing 63 staff members, will now be integrated into Vestum’s Water segment. The company reported sales of just over SEK 200 million during the fiscal year 2023/2024.
Commenting on the acquisition, Vestum CEO Simon Göthberg stated, “I’m proud that we today can announce the acquisition of PDAS, which constitutes an excellent add-on acquisition to Vestum's largest company Pump Supplies.
With its strength in intelligent monitoring systems, PDAS can leverage the broad customer network built in Pump Supplies over the past 40 years to further accelerate growth in recurring revenue. There are concrete synergies on both the revenue and cost side, and the acquisition strengthens Vestum's already strong position within water infrastructure in the UK.”
Pump Supplies, established in 1982, is a provider of electric submersible water pumps, including drainage, sewage, and slurry pumps, along with a wide range of accessories and pipe systems. The company operates through five depots across England, Wales, and Ireland, employing 89 people and is headquartered in Gloucester.
Göthberg further added, “The acquisition of PDAS is Vestum's first acquisition in two years and demonstrates our strategy to grow the Water segment, both through high organic growth and acquisitions. Our ambition is to grow the Water segment to become Vestum's largest segment.”
